Toilet timed for
waste elimination is one extreme. An individual has no control over anything
related to waste elimination, but does have simple reflex actions that trigger waste elimination. Toilet trained for
elimination is another extreme. An individual has control over several physical
abilities and thoughts, which can be coordinated to independently function in response to waste elimination needs. Ther are many stages of development between the extremes. One stage that can
be introduced involves caretaker/infant communication. One way to accomplish
introducing this stage could involve using the EARLY LEARNING METHOD™. A foundation for communication can
be one of the developments and benefits that result from using the EARLY LEARNING
METHOD™. Another one of the benefits that results is that the infant becomes toilet option trained™. Toilet option trained™
is a new concept used to describe when communication takes place between an individual and caretaker(s) such that the individual
indicates his/her need to defecate or urinate, and waits until put on a toilet, and then eliminates body waste. The toilet can be any place specifically designated as an appropriate spot for the waste. Since toilet option
training™ is universal in nature, caretakers can be trained and certified to use the method for all the individuals
they have responsibility for. |
